ABOUT SOPHIE WALSH

I’m Sophie, a London-based copywriter and all-around lover of language. That being said, I’m also a visual person. My educational background in BA History of Art and MA Fashion Journalism has fueled an interest in identity and self-expression – whether through clothing, beauty, homeware, art, or writing. I began my career in fashion editorial and have written for a veritable smörgåsbord of magazines. From publications with a focus on youth culture to those with a more educational outlook, I have chameleoned to suit diverse tones, while maintaining a unique personal style. During lockdown, I transitioned into copywriting, applying my editorial skills to brand work. I built in-house experience at the luxury womenswear brand, ME+EM and later became the first copywriter at HSNF, establishing their tone of voice in the beauty market. As a freelancer, I’ve had the pleasure of working with TOAST, Joseph Joseph and sustainable jewellery brand Kimaï. Each collaboration has allowed me to hone my craft and contribute to each brand’s unique narrative. I look forward to what’s coming next.
