I am a passionate humanitarian advocate of good governance and climate-smart laws and policies through a whole-of-society approach. Over the past years, I have supported Latin America and Caribbean countries’ efforts to improve disaster risk management policy frameworks at both domestic and regional levels to meet international commitments under the Sendai Framework for DRR 20••••30, the Paris Agreement on CC and the SDGs, and thus alleviate suffering of the most vulnerable in emergencies.I believe in strategic and evidence-based processes to influence policies, behaviors of local, national, regional actors and international stakeholders to mitigate exposure and vulnerabilities to risks of disasters and other emergencies.
