About Sophia Strickland
I am a third-year student at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill pursuing a major in Media and Journalism at the Hussman School of Media and Journalism with a minor in Social and Economic Justice. During the spring semester I\'ll be studying abroad in Madrid, Spain!Currently I\'m writing for The Daily Tar Heel and The Durham Voice and editing for Coulture Magazine. I\'m also a design editor for UNC\'s literary journal, The Cellar Door, and a freelance graphic designer for The Looma Project. I recently closed out my term as the Director of Social Media and Marketing on Kappa Delta\'s Executive Board. This role taught me a lot about shaping a brand voice and building Instagram engagement.I also coach a Triangle Area Girls on the Run team and enjoy attending UNC’s Healthy Celebrations running clubs each week. I am an avid runner and love participating in the Tar Heel 10 Miler. My other interests include reading, creative writing and graphic design.
