As a Senior SDET and Team Lead with Errigal, I have a number of different responsibilities including: Designing and Architecting new Automation projects to help reach our automation goals and expand our automation test suite. Defining the Roadmap for Automation. Research into the latest testing tools that can be utilised by the team. Coordination & Management of the testing effort for each development sprint. Mentoring the members of the test team. Working closely with Product Owners & Management to help deliver high-quality software. Working with Stakeholders to help plan the testing effort for sprints and releases. Automation of test cases for both features in the current sprint, as well as working through our automation backlog and continuously improving our existing suite of automated test cases. Integration of automated tests into a CI/CD pipeline. Exploratory Testing to learn about and interact with the product. Management of the internal QA systems throughout each sprint.

ABOUT SOPHIE RENSHAW
Senior Software Development Engineer in Test & Team Lead specialising in Test Automation and Exploratory Testing. Currently, I\'m a Senior SDET & Team Lead at Errigal, a leading provider of network management software for companies who need to remotely monitor their high-value, mission-critical networks and custom device solutions for OEMs. I joined the company in June 2015 having completed my BSc (Hons) in applied computing at WIT and have since cultivated a passion for all things testing. My main role is to design, develop, and execute test protocols for Errigal’s suite of applications. This involves the implementation of user interface and acceptance test conventions, exploratory testing, automated testing and the development of the next iteration of automated script-based testing. I also coordinate and manage the testing effort during the sprint cycle and mentor the junior members of the QA team. I\'m currently undertaking my masters in Artificial Intelligence at DCU. I have introduced a wide variety of testing tools and processes to Errigal and I\'m always on the lookout for the next best thing that can be utilised to continue delivering high-quality software.
