About Sophie Davis

As an environmental engineering major at Cornell University, I\'ve created a strong foundation in high-level mathematics, chemistry, physics, and sustainability. My potential two minors in mechanical engineering and marine biology highlight my passion in combatting marine climate change through new technology with an environmental lense. The project team I work on, named CUSail from our purpose of creating an autonomous racing sailboat, builds my technical skills in Solidworks, ANSYS, machining, and more. Outside of academics, my roles as a coach, head counselor, and Vice President of Learning and New Member Development highlight my ambitious, empathetic, and dedicated personality.
