ABOUT SOPHIE MACDONALD
I completed my BA in English at the University of Cambridge, which included writing my first-class dissertation ‘In Defence of Llanito: code-switching and identity in Gibraltarian literature’. I was supervised by Professor Laura Wright, who subsequently launched her Llanito Project. I went on to complete an MA in Intercultural Communication at UCL, to further my study of heritage languages, for which I was awarded a distinction. I am now studying towards a PGDL, with a view of qualifying as a barrister.
