ABOUT SOPHIE KIPPS
My career experience and skills stem from my passion for seeking restorative & dignifying justice for all people groups. My current role at International Justice Mission allows me to build relationships with partners working to combat global, violent injustice. Before my time at IJM, I had the privilege of working with & for children with profound intellectual disabilities through my former position at Jill\'s House in Northern Virginia.Outside of work, I have volunteered with both Prison Fellowship and Rescue America. Prison Fellowship is committed to bringing restorative justice to incarcerated individuals, and as a Justice Advocacy Ambassador, I was able to participate in advocacy & public policy work through relationships with elected officials as well as community engagement efforts such as events raising awareness for criminal justice reform. Building on the work I participate in daily with IJM, Rescue America exists to help men & women exit sexually exploitative circumstances through a 24/7 hotline. It is a huge honor to serve as one of the Hotline Advocates who responds as the first voice of love to the survivors calling into the hotline and to begin the process of moving them to safety and new life.
