As Curator of Books, Ideas and Community at Creative Folkestone, I\'ll be programming the annual Folkestone Book Festival, which is one of the oldest literary festivals in the UK. I\'m also working on a campaign to keep the local library alive, after it was closed in December 2022. The aim is to make Folkestone a town for readers and writers, starting a conversation within the community that will have a lasting impact

Author: My second novel, Madame Matisse, is scheduled for publication in early 2025. My debut, The Flames, explores the lives of the women who posed for Egon Schiele in Vienna a century ago. It was translated into seven languages and named by The Times as one of the Best Historical Fiction Books of 2022. As a journalist, I\'ve interviewed leading authors, including Hilary Mantel, Maggie O’Farrell, Bernardine Evaristo, Sally Rooney and Amy Tan and shine a light on forgotten voices.Short Stories: Engaged in hosting salons and masterclasses with The Word Factory. Previously worked as Content Editor and Social Media Manager for the Sunday Times Short Story Award. Actively involved in judging short story competitions, including the Bath Short Story Award and Society of Authors\' ALCS Tom-Gallon Trust Award. My short story, Mudlarks, was broadcast on BBC Radio 4 in December 2023.Public speaking: I regularly feature on podcasts, appear at literary festivals including Hay and Cheltenham, and speak to large audiences about art and literature at venues such as the National Gallery, Sotheby\'s and The Trouble Club. I\'m available to interview other authors and have done so for live events at Hatchards and Fane productions.Open to freelance opportunities and commissions — let\'s connect.
