ABOUT SOPHIE DOLAN

I’m a final-year Classical Civilisation and Literature student at the University of Birmingham, balancing academic depth with real-world ambition. Working part-time throughout university has taught me resilience and discipline. Managing long shifts alongside academic deadlines has strengthened my ability to stay focused, adaptable and proactive — never waiting for things to happen, but always working to make them happen. I take pride in showing up consistently, with care and high standards in everything I do. My degree in Classics has developed my ability to think critically, research thoroughly and communicate clearly — both in writing and in person. It’s sharpened my analytical mindset, attention to detail and cultural awareness, all of which I bring into professional settings with confidence and creativity. I value grace, initiative, kindness, resilience and excellence — bringing these into everything I do. From producing an extended research project at university, to curating visual displays and delivering standout customer service at Next, to creating social media content for UoB Amnesty Society — I approach each task with pride and purpose. My long term goal is to grow in a career that allows me to contribute meaningfully, keep learning and be part of something I’m proud of. I’m especially drawn to environments where quality, creativity and strong values come together.
