About Sophia Rubbo
My name is Sophia Rubbo and I am a recent graduate of the George Washington University where I received a BA in International Affairs and Spanish, with minors in History and Political Science, and a concentration in International Politics. I currently work as an Assistant English Language Teacher at a public elementary school in Madrid, Spain. During my undergraduate career I had the opportunity to complete several internships. I worked as a Government Affairs Intern at the National Organization for Women, a Congressional Affairs Intern at the Middle East Policy Council, a Press Intern at the Senate Office of Senator Bernie Sanders (I-VT), a Policy and Research Intern at the Embassy of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, a Marketing Intern at the US Council for International Business (USCIB), and an Intern for the Association for Professional Social Compliance Auditors (APSCA). I was a member of Sigma Iota Rho, an International Affairs professional fraternity and the official honors society of the Elliott School of International Affairs. I also studied abroad in Sevilla, Spain, where I took all my courses in Spanish.
