ABOUT SOPHIA HOBMAN
I have extensive experience in the IT industry where I have worked for the past 25 years. My background was quality assurance - from testing through to test consulting at an enterprise level. The great thing about testing is that it has allowed me to understand the whole SDLC in great detail. In recent years I have performed a variety of delivery roles including project management, engagement management and support management roles.In my current role I am the Practice Manager responsible for our Business Analysis, Testing, Agile and OutSystems practices. My role is both as a resource manager for our BAs and Testers, and secondly to set up the OutSystems and agile practices.I have spent a lot of time in leadership and practice lead roles during my career. I enjoy working with staff and customers alike. I have worked in Banking (National and BNZ), and for Vendors - Unisys, Equinox (as an associate), EDS and HP, Capgemini and now Optimation Group where I have established a reputation for being a very capable consultant, practice lead and people manager.I am a very open, collaborative and approachable person. I build trust relationships with our staff and customers. I pride myself in doing a good job in anything task I undertake. Having fun at work is extremely important to me. I have been told on more than one occasion that my laugh is recognisable! I like to think infectious as well! Being around good people is inspiring.
