I have been in the workforce since I was 14 years old. I have matured during my 20+ years to be an excellent question asker, thorough researcher, and workhorse. I am curious by nature, and I want to understand the rules, assumptions, and biases. I believe deeply in the power of relationships and vulnerability. My goal is for everyone to be successful.I have a varied work history, and I have demonstrated these qualities regardless of the occupation. When I worked in restaurants in 2007 and 2008, I worked with a manager to research and establish a curbside pickup service. I would also suggest other process improvements to make the job for myself and our other cashiers a little easier.I have spent the majority of my career in homelessness and housing, primarily working for non-profits. During this time, I developed extensive knowledge of systems change, process improvement, data, housing best practices, system performance measurement, and US Department of Housing and Urban Development regulations. I pivoted to planning and development in 2021 to better understand housing, analyzing it from the perspective of homelessness prevention. I have experience in land use planning, municipal code, general/comprehensive plans, working with developers, construction project management, processing draws, compliance, and asset management.I have discovered during my time that everything is learnable, and I am looking forward to a lifetime of learning.
