ABOUT SOPHIA CASTILLO
I am a third-year PharmD student at the University of Wisconsin-Madison School of Pharmacy, energized by pursuits to connect patients with novel therapeutics after following such candidates through the stages of clinical development. My pharmacy passions include integrating psychoactive substances into conventional medicine practice to optimize outcomes for patients who have not previously benefitted from standard of care approaches, as in the domains of mental health care and substance use disorder treatment. Following the completion of my PharmD program, I intend to pursue a post-graduate fellowship in the pharmaceutical industry to take on initiatives to increase patient access to life-changing biopharmaceutical products, and cater pertinent evidence-based knowledge to other health professionals.
