ABOUT SOPHIA STANIUNAS
My name is Sophia Staniunas, and I\'m thrilled to connect with other LinkedIn users and to give a glimpse of my professional journey. I am a Philosophy and History major on the Pre-Law Track. My career passions revolve around working in a legal setting, and I am still discerning which area of law I’d like to work in in the future. I\'ve been fortunate enough to have participated in an internship offered by the New York Office of the Attorney General, in which I worked in the department of the Managing Attorney\'s Office. My experience in this setting taught me exactly how the New York state court system works on a multitude of levels, ranging from the appellate courts of the individual districts to being able to have access to case data on a federal level. Some of the cases that I was in charge of filing into the online system detailed health and safety issues in reference to a government-sponsored entity, and the more time I spent with these cases, the more I found that working in either injury or medical malpractice law environments is something that I would like to develop a further passion for. At my core, I am a lifelong learner, and I especially love to read and write about my interests as much as possible-especially because my love of reading has been instilled in me since I can remember. That being said, I\'m looking forward to connecting with other professionals that have a similar passion for the subjects of my career dreams.
