Office of Representative Betty McCollum I am the primary staffer tasked with meeting with constituents, NGOs, special interest groups, and others on the issue areas of foreign policy, health policy, and labor policy. I handle all policy and legislative meetings pertaining to the State and Foreign Operations Appropriations and Labor, Health and Human Services, Education Appropriations bills. I assist the Congresswoman with identifying priorities in these areas and crafting bill and report language to support these priorities. Other policy issue areas include: foreign affairs, global food security, global health and development, domestic anti poverty programs, women\'s health, defense health, defense education, social services, national service, and labor. I also write constituent correspondence regarding these issues.In addition to my appropriations portfolios, I oversee the Congresswoman’s involvement in her role as Chair of the Global Health Caucus, the International Conservation Caucus, the Community Action Caucus, the Congressional Burma Caucus, the Friends of Tunisia Caucus, the Friends of Norway Caucus, and the Celiac Disease Caucus.
