ABOUT SOPHIA KLESS

I am a fourth-year International Business major with a minor in Fashion Studies along with a certificate in Italian language and culture at the University of Cincinnati. I plan to graduate in May of 2025. With a passion for the intersection of creativity, consumer behavior, and strategic business planning, I aspire to build a career in fashion, marketing, and international business- Study Abroad in Turin, Italy (May-August 2024) Enhanced my strong cross-cultural communication skills at the SAA School of Management, fostering my desire to work in diverse environments. This experience deepened my understanding of international business and enriched my appreciation of Italian culture. I am looking forward to utilizing my international marketing and communication strategies in my future endeavors- Fashion Retailing in London, England (August 2023) Gained insights into luxury fashion and retail strategies through direct meetings with industry workers at Alexander McQueen and from designer Zandra Rhodes. This course solidified my desire to pursue luxury fashion marketing and trend research- Sales Assistant at Tom James Company (Summer 2023) Expanded my skills in sales, fashion, and social media marketing while working at a luxury custom clothing company. Advanced my communication skills through client interactions and content creation for Instagram, discovering my passion for luxury design, styling, photography, and social media management- Leadership Roles at the University of Cincinnati As a peer tutor and Supplemental Review Session (SRS) Leader, I honed my leadership and communication skills by assisting students with challenging concepts surrounding business calculus. I lead a 1 credit hour business calculus course, helping students deepen their knowledge of in-class concepts, and fostering their academic growth. I am actively seeking to expand my knowledge of international business and marketing within the fashion sector.
