With over 13 years of experience, Sophia is a Partner at KPMG in Canada’s Greater Toronto Area (GTA)) Financial Services practice with a focus on Asset Management. Sophia specializes in asset management taxation matters, and she has extensive experience providing tax assurance, compliance, and advisory services to asset management and financial services clients. She also helps clients on investment fund structuring, M&A transactions, as well as tax controversy resolutions. Prior to her current role, Sophia started her professional career with KPMG in 2009 with the Consumer and Industrial Markets practice, which allowed her to get extensive experience working in Canadian tax compliance and advisory services. She also worked at the M&A tax services group, where she provided tax due diligence and structuring services for mergers and acquisitions.
