ABOUT SOPHIA FRANCESCO
Sophia Francesco is a community-based architectural designer. Sophia graduated from Rhode Island School of Design (RISD) with a Bachelor of Architecture (B.Arch) and double minors in Nature, Culture, Sustainability Studies + History, Philosophy, and the Social Sciences.Her work focuses on collective engagement and community outreach to empower the active participation of all beings to form stronger systems of care in design practices. She is looking to work with organizations that intentionally center on an interdisciplinary team of designers addressing the complexities of the world around them. She is currently working with Turtle Island Community Capital. Sophia has previously worked with the Mashantucket Pequot Museum & Research Center, Navajo Nation Department of Community Development, Anderson Ranch Arts Center, and James A.
