ABOUT SOPHIA FALCO
I’m a creative who strongly values the analytical side at the same time, and using that to strengthen my craft of poetry as a published poet with my third book titled: Chronicles Of Cosmic Chaos: In The Fourth Dimension forthcoming with UnCollected Press roughly November 2022. My fourth book is award winning coming out early this year (2024). I’m also the winner of The Mirabai Prize for Poetry, have over 40 individual poems published in various literary journals and magazines, have 25 blog posts published by The International Bipolar Foundation as a dedicated and experienced volunteer blogger. With an intensive writing career so far, I know the relentless effort that goes into writing, and in turn how my writing journey affects my teaching philosophy. I am currently a Master of Fine Art Student for Poetry and selected for their Teaching Fellowship at Saint Mary\'s College of California. I am a mental health advocate demonstrating that people with such challenges can still succeed and excel in higher education. Compassion is an important value to me, and therefore I took a class on compassion, and in addition a class on interpersonal effectiveness. I take a holistic approach in my job as a writing adviser.
