About Sophia Cordisco
I am a Junior studying Environmental Engineering with a minor in Energy and Engineering Management and a certificate in Engineering Leadership. My experience includes serving as a site design engineering intern on the solar team at Westwood Professional Services, where I contributed to renewable energy projects spanning solar, wind, and battery storage, and mentoring peers through leadership roles in the Energy Club and Business Engineering Women in Technology (BEWiT). Through these experiences, I’ve built skills in technical design, teamwork, and project execution, while gaining exposure to both engineering and business perspectives. I also represented CU in the Women’s Case Competition, which strengthened my ability to think strategically and collaborate across disciplines. Together, these opportunities reflect my passion for advancing sustainable energy solutions through a balance of technical knowledge, leadership, and collaboration.
