About Sophia Chan
2024 graduate, diving headfirst into industry after a B.S. in Bioengineering and Biochemistry, and two fast-paced and fulfilling biotech co-ops. I have a particular interest in the little things in life: molecular biology, the microbiome, and conquering diseases at their root causes, down to the nucleotide. Co-ops have given me a range of skills, from putting genetic circuits together with the power of molecular biology and cloning techniques at Ensoma (Payload Engineering, Platform) to planning and executing sample testing, assay development, and assay optimization with qPCR, RT-qPCR, colony forming cell assays, and NGS-related methods at Prime Medicine (Molecular Analytics, Analytical Development).
