About Soo Shim
Soo is a proud SAPean (sey-pee-uhn) who grew up in SAP Labs Montreal, learning to be fluent in ABAP. After 5 years with her IS-Retail family, keeping her industry heritage with pride, she ventured into the field to explore the world of business development and alliances. A decade later, she is in the Intelligent Spend Management part of the business world, busy creating industry value chain circles with a mission to establish the #1 position in the market for procurement solution. Prior to her current mission, Soo’s 10 year adventure included living in the SAP mothership located in Walldorf with the Corporate Sustainability family where Soo managed SAP’s first social project - the “Shea Project”. Witnessing the first mile challenge of the Shea value chain, along with unlimited potentials to make a difference in one of the most rural areas of Ghana using technology was illuminating. This light has been Soo’s beacon ever since. Now, she lives a purposeful and conscious life, advocating for technology that supports Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and helps industry practitioners to build more sustainable value chains and a happier world.
