I’m Sooraj, a Datacenter Field Technician Lead supporting Google\'s hyperscale data center operations, with a master’s degree in information assurance and cybersecurity and a strong foundation in computer science engineering.In my current role, I lead and support field technicians responsible for the installation, routing, and maintenance of large-scale data center infrastructure, with a strong focus on fiber optic cabling and physical network deployment. My hands-on work includes racking and stacking equipment, routing and terminating single-mode and multimode fiber, conducting fiber audits, and performing physical-layer troubleshooting to ensure reliable connectivity across production environments.I routinely use diagnostic and testing tools such as Visual Fault Locators (VFL) and OTDR/OTLS to validate cable integrity, identify faults, and maintain optimal signal performance.
