ABOUT SONYA MCCOY-WILSON

I\'m a seasoned academic leader with a proven record of success and a deep commitment to student success and faculty excellence. As the Vice President of Programs at GAWHE, I lead and spearhead programs that advance and support women in higher education. As the Associate Vice President of Learning at Atlanta Technical College, I spearhead major initiatives like our Teaching, Learning, and Leadership Conference and lead campus-wide professional learning and development for faculty, staff, and campus leaders through the Center for Teaching, Learning, and Leadership. I hold a Doctor of Education in Learning, Leadership, and Organization Development from the University of Georgia. My research interests are diverse and transcend the boundaries of multiple disciplines: diversity, equity, and inclusion, transformative learning, culturally responsive teaching and leadership, race, gender, and social constructivism.
