At a high level, Sonya is responsible for all financial matters of a private company (PE backed) in the vacation ownership industry under the Holiday Inn Club Vacations (HICV) brand. The company is engaged in a variety of interrelated business activities including real estate development, rental and resort management services (including 44 homeowner associations), marketing and sales, club administration, and mortgage receivable financing and loan servicing. Excels at raising capital for company growth and acquisition and integration activities;$4 Billion in capital raised to propel Company growth through a diverse set of financing vehicles (e.g. loan syndicates, receivable warehouse facilities and securitizations of mortgage note receivables (ABS)). Led the acquisition and integration efforts across the business for 8 acquisitions totaling $2 Billion, including doubling the size of the Company in 2015 along with the international expansion to Mexico in 2023. Experienced leader in reporting to private company shareholders including private equity, lender and ABS investors. Oversight of approximately 150 staff members across HICV’s US and Mexico resorts as part of the management of the financial functions in the areas of accounting, financial planning and analysis, tax, internal audit, payroll, treasury, insurance and capital markets.
