Senior Engineer – Instrumentation Lab | ICAT (International Centre for Automotive Technology)Fatigue Lab | Vehicle Validation & Testing Lead end-to-end instrumentation activities for fatigue and vibration testing across diverse vehicle platforms, contributing to robust structural durability assessments. Specialize in calibration, installation, and integration of high-precision sensors, including strain gauges, accelerometers, displacement sensors, and Wheel Force Transducers (WFTs) to capture accurate structural response data. Plan and execute Road Load Data Acquisition (RLDA) campaigns in alignment with national and international standards, supporting fatigue life prediction and structural optimization. Configure DAQ systems, perform signal conditioning, and ensure real-time data integrity through meticulous channel configuration and validation. Coordinate closely with UTB (Universal Test Bench) and Vibration sub-labs for integrated validation workflows, ensuring synchronization and data consistency. Collaborate with OEMs and cross-functional teams to develop custom test setups, enhance instrumentation strategies, and troubleshoot complex measurement challenges. Utilize nCode GlyphWorks for advanced data processing, fatigue analysis, and signal post-processing to support engineering decisions. Ensure compliance with NABL and ISO/IEC 17025 standards by upholding best practices in sensor calibration, test execution, and lab safety.
