About Sonja Stills

As the Commissioner of the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC), I oversee the administration, compliance, media relations, finance, corporate partnerships, multimedia, marketing, and special events of the conference. I have more than 20 years of work experience in the field of collegiate athletics, serving in various roles at MEAC and Hampton University. I have a master\'s degree in counseling and a bachelor\'s degree in human services counseling. I have developed strong skills in management, Microsoft Office, and time management, as well as domain expertise in compliance, championships, and academic progress. My core competencies include leadership, communication, collaboration, and problem-solving. My mission is to advance the vision, values, and goals of MEAC and its member institutions, and to promote the academic and athletic excellence of its student-athletes. I bring diverse perspectives and experiences to the team, and I am passionate about creating a positive and inclusive culture for all stakeholders.
