Primary Purpose: The Community Engagement Coordinator, Volunteers furthers the Foundation’s commitment to build a statewide sense of community by engaging volunteers and community members in OCF’s mission. A. Volunteer Engagemento Work with Program Officer, Community Engagement to support OCF’s engagement of volunteers in meaningful and high-quality work, so they are motivated and trained to support OCF’s mission.o Build relationships with volunteers through proactive, regular written and electronic communication with OCF volunteers including communication through OCF’s websiteo Develop “volunteer engagement calendar” identifying key moments to engage volunteer base B. Program Managemento Interview and screen prospective volunteers; give volunteer orientation to OCF develop / refine rubric to identify best fit for prospective volunteerso Develop, maintain and support a comprehensive recruitment, orientation, training, retention, and recognition plan for individual and group volunteers to ensure that all volunteers are knowledgeable and prepared for their roles in OCF.o Develop general volunteer training and orientation materials to introduce volunteers to OCF; coordinate with program leads to design program-specific training materials to prepare volunteers to engageC. Systems Management for individuals and volunteerso Serve as database (iPhi) resource for individuals and volunteers, as needed; Provideindividual and group trainingo Establish policies, document and maintain operational procedures for database related to volunteersD. Strategyo Develop and deploy volunteer recruitment strategy to attract and retain representative (geographic, cultural, sectoral) base of volunteerso Support best practices for recruitment, training and relationship management for volunteers participating in the Community Grants, Small Arts, Scholarship, Community Field of interest Fund and other programs.
