   Soniya Khemlani focuses her practice on multiple-party litigation, including a variety of claims in the areas of environmental, toxic tort, products liability, and general litigation, especially with regard to premises liability- Secured a defense verdict in a wrongful death case involving a fallen transmission line and subsequent fire for a large California-based utilities company- Motion for summary judgment granted for an oven equipment maintenance company. The client was not in the chain of production and marketing for the defective appliance that caused toxic injury to the plaintiffs, and they did not owe plaintiffs a duty to inspect equipment for potential defects- Motion for summary judgment granted for an energy supplier company client in a matter in which plaintiffs alleged asbestos exposure but was unable to prove that the client was in the chain of production and marketing, or that they caused plaintiffs’ alleged injuries on the client’s premises- Motion for summary judgment granted for lumber supply company in matter in which plaintiff failed to prove she was ever exposed to asbestos-containing products sold or supplied by client- Represents one of the nation’s largest investor-owned utilities in litigation involving personal injury and property damage.
