ABOUT SONIA ALDAPE
I am a highly motivated and empathic mental health professional with a strong work and self care ethic. I have extensive experience working for Education, Healthcare and Nonprofit organizations serving widely diverse communities while providing direct mental health and support services in both English and in Spanish. I have post-graduate professional Clinical Social Work/Psychotherapy experience since August 2015 and obtained BBS CA LCSW independent licensure in August 2019. Some of my certifications and specialty trainings include: biopsychosocial assessment, evidence based cognitive and somatic interventions, trauma informed psychotherapy, neurodiversity aware, psychodynamic theory, narrative therapy, EMDR, somatic experiencing, attachment theory, integrative somatic trauma therapy, integrative parts work, sex therapy and mental health Integrative medicine. I am deeply passionate about both micro and macro fields of mental health including psychotherapy, case-management, leadership, research, community organizing and policy protecting and promoting values of depth-oriented quality mental health care, accessibility, harm-reduction, whole person wellness, collective healing, collective care, equity, anti-ableism, anti-classism and anti-racism.
