ABOUT SONIA TANEJA
I am currently a Pediatric Chief Resident at the Boston Combined Residency Program (Boston Children\'s Hospital & Boston Medical Center). In this role, I am also a Clinical Instructor at the Boston University School of Medicine and an attending physician in the general pediatric hospital and newborn nursery settings at Boston Medical Center. In my current role, I serve as a Diversity Chief Resident and participate in educational and operational programming for the residency program and specifically, the Leadership in Equity and Advocacy (LEAD) Track.I hold an MSc in Public Health from the London School and have prior experience conducting participatory action research in India and in the US. My prior research work has focused on the impact of oppression related to gender identity, race, caste, sexual orientation, and income specifically among maternal-child dyads and among adolescents on overall health and ability to access care. I am currently looking for opportunities in adolescent and general pediatric medicine, health equity-related medical education, and youth participatory action research.
