Hi there! My name is Sonia Reyes. I am an ambitious and well-rounded college graduate with a Bachelor of Science in Human Development & Family Sciences.As a social worker, I wear many hats. I work with kids at a non-profit organization during the day. I also help manage the first and only Asian-American Pacific Islander History museum in the country. I regularly volunteer at a homeless shelter as well. I specialize in non-profit organizing, urban program management, and DEI advocacy.My extensive professional background proves I have the ability to successfully lead under pressure. Overall, as a team member, I am reliable, communicative, and empathetic. As a leader, I display effective group management, impressive public speaking skills, and strong task delegation abilities.My avid interest in social and political activism inspired me to become an advocate, educator, and life-long learner. I strive to promote inclusivity in any setting by emphasizing integrity and transparency while also maintaining an equitable and comfortable environment for all.Now, I am the Program & Outreach Coordinator for Books Are Wings, a non-profit organization that puts free books into the hands of children in Northern Rhode Island. My job is to focus on program development, volunteer engagement, and community outreach.
