About Sonia Navas

Sonia is an Executive Director and Sr. Relationship Manager for J.P. Morgan’s Agency Securities Finance business. She is responsible for defining the securities lending strategy, driving growth and optimizing program performance for top tier clients across the Asset Manager, Pension and Central Bank segments. Over the past 26 years Sonia has held various roles in the Commercial & Investment Bank including managing the Mexican ETF cross-listed business for the Depositary Receipts group, Relationship Manager for J.P. Morgan’s ADR corporate clients in Mexico, Colombia and Peru, Transaction Execution Manager for the Debt Capital Markets group, Business Manager for the Equities division and Client Relationship Specialist for J.P. Morgan’s Equity Electronic Trading business. Sonia’s background includes working with various Issuer and institutional investor clients in the US and LATAM as well as working with various legal, product, accounting and consulting partners. Additionally, she is one of the co-chairs of the Commercial & Investment Bank’s Hispanic Leadership Forum and is involved in various Diversity, Equity and Inclusion initiatives including recruiting, mentoring, advocacy, and development initiatives. Externally she is an active member of Women in Securities Finance Industry group and also serves on the financial committee for Cornelia Connelly Center which champions girls, empowering them to realize their full potential from middle school through college and beyond. Sonia received a Bachelors in Business Management from St John’s University Peter J. Tobin School of Business and is fluent in Spanish. Sonia was born in Bogota, Colombia and she currently lives with her husband and 3 children in New York.
