Sonali Karmarkar is a seasoned creator economy professional, marketer, and keynote speaker, with 10+ years experience in community building, partnerships, and brand development, with expertise in fashion and beauty. Sonali manages our Creator Community at YouTube and is the Founder & CEO of Soieli, a hand-painted silk hair accessories brand that operates at the intersection of fashion and art. At YouTube, Sonali was one of the Creator Community team\'s first hires when Shorts launched in 2021, tasked with building YouTube’s community engagement strategy from the ground up for our next generation of content creators, which has now scaled across global markets. Since then, Sonali has led efforts developing programs to amplify these rising stars through creator education, creator connection, and to empower diverse creators to own their YouTube experience. As a business owner and creator community leader, Sonali is passionate about helping entrepreneurs turn their passions into sustainable businesses and bridging the gap between brands and creators.
