My role as a Paraeducator at the Northshore School District involves the following key responsibilities- Providing Instructional Support: In this role, I provide interventions in literacy and/or math to help students reach and maintain grade-level performance. This includes leading small group activities, adapting lessons to meet specific student needs, and assisting with the preparation of instructional materials. - Student Assistance: Supporting students in developing problem-solving and organizational skills, and providing feedback to teachers on student progress. - Behavioral and Social Support: Primarily assisting students with behavior management and social skills development, ensuring student safety, and implementing behavior intervention plans as needed. - Specialized Support: In some instances for special education roles, my duties may include assisting students with medical needs, self-care tasks such as toileting and feeding, and supporting students with physical disabilities. Collaboration:I work closely with teachers, administrators, and parents to support student learning and development.
