Hi! I\'m Somto /sohm-toh/ – working at the intersection of legal administration and community-focused program coordination. In this space, my goal is to share, connect, and learn.I\'m currently building a foundation in the legal field as an Intellectual Property Clerk at Smart & Biggar. Over the past 3+ years, I\'ve built systems that support people and communities - from coordinating programming for students to leading mentorship initiatives serving 450+ youth across Peel Region, including newcomer students, refugees, and internationally mobile populations navigating Canadian institutions for the first time. My work has spanned student affairs, equity initiatives, and legal administration, united by a common thread: understanding complex systemic needs and translating them into clear, actionable support. As an international graduate, I navigated Canadian systems without a built-in roadmap very early in my career - an experience that made me more resourceful, detail-oriented, and committed to creating pathways for others. I continue to engage in mentorship and community work because helping people find their footing in new spaces is a cause that drives me.I work by a simple philosophy rooted in gratitude: Do my best where I am, with what I have.I\'m open to roles, mentorship opportunities, speaking engagements, and collaborations that advance inclusion within Legal, Higher Ed and community-centred spaces.
