Somnath Mukherjee is a hospitality leader with over three decades of experience in luxury hotels, strategic operations, and food & beverage innovation, shaping business priorities and driving growth at one of the world’s most respected hospitality companies. His approach blends heritage and modernity, ensuring that IHCL’s dining experiences remain globally competitive and locally authentic. A strong advocate for talent development, he mentors the next generation of leaders in luxury hospitality and F&B.Over his career, he has led some of the world’s most iconic hotels, including Rambagh Palace, Jaipur, and the 140-year-old Taj West End, Bengaluru. Under his stewardship, the Taj West End won the National Tourism Award for Best Luxury Hotel (Government of India) and was recognised as Best Heritage Hotel and Best Luxury Hotel in South Asia at the South Asian Travel Awards.His contributions to the industry have been honoured globally.
