ABOUT SOMAYEH KHOSROAZAD

I am a wireless systems and PHY architect specializing in next-generation Wi-Fi (Wi-Fi 7/8/9), with over 15 years of experience designing, standardizing, and validating RF-PHY technologies for high-performance wireless systems. I currently work on next-generation Wi-Fi system architecture and RAN1/RAN2 development, bridging 802.11 standards with real-world silicon and product implementations.Previously at NXP, I served as a Principal Systems & Standards Architect, where I represented the company as an 802.11 voting member and proposal author. My work spanned PHY waveform design, MIMO-OFDM, OFDMA, RF impairments, calibration, and machine-learning-based digital pre-distortion (DPD), translating theoretical concepts into standard-compliant, manufacturable Wi-Fi SoCs.My background combines deep signal processing, RF-PHY co-design, and data-driven algorithms. I have led and executed projects involving IQ imbalance calibration, AI/ML-based PA nonlinearity modeling, EVM optimization, channel modeling, and system-level performance analysis using both simulation and hardware-in-the-loop platforms.I hold a PhD in Electrical Engineering (Wireless Communications), with research in MIMO-OFDM, Physical Layer Network Coding, mmWave, NOMA, wireless energy transfer, and network-level signal processing. Today, my focus is on shaping and delivering the PHY and system architectures that will define the next decade of Wi-Fi.Email: s••••••••@gmail.com
