A conscientious thought leader in legal profession with 21+ years of rich and extensive experience with Metal & Mining,Manufacturing, Energy, Engineering, Retail & Consumer Products industries in leading conglomerates like JSW, Vedanta, Compton Greaves, Odisha Power Generation Corporation, Reliance Retail and Hawkins. Also have the exposure of working in law firm. Have handled all verticals of legal function such as (1) Statutory Compliance,(2) Contracts,(3) Litigation,(4) M&A,(5) Legal Advisory and have in the past led the entire legal function both at Unit/Factory as well as Corporate Level. A certified specialist mediator on the panel of Singapore International Mediation Center. At present heading litigation function at JSW Steel which is largest steel producer in India and the flagship entity of JSW Group and providing strategic legal support to senior management and promoter for group level assignments. JSW Group has diversified business interests in Energy, Infrastructure, Cement, Paints, Automobile, Defence etc. Successfully led the function to achieve business objectives in several high-stake complex disputes working closely with the eminent Senior Counsels in India and also has exposure of handling international disputes before foreign courts and in International Commercial Arbitrations. Has the privilege of receiving few landmark judgments for the organization including the recent judgment of Supreme Court of India in respect of JSW Steel’s acquisition of another steel manufacturing company through the Insolvency and Bankruptcy Code. Has received IBLJ (International Business Law Journal) best in-house legal leader in litigation award in 2024. My career objective is to lead legal and compliance function of a growth oriented professionally managed global conglomerate where I can contribute as an enabler and a trusted business partner for the growth of the organization and its people.
