ABOUT SOLVEIG JOHANNESSEN

Solveig is a seasoned global CEO and COO with nearly 20 years of experience working in companies that range from start-ups to the Fortune 500. Renowned for her leadership in strategic design, Solveig has deep expertise in technology, education, life sciences, aviation, business operations, and the arts. Her skill set spans business development, strategy, design thinking, organizational transformation, M&A integration, go-to-market, and growth. Known for her ability to navigate both structured and ambiguous environments, Solveig integrates a human-centered design that balances user needs, teams, and business objectives. A continuous learner, she stays at the forefront of trends in customer behavior, digital technologies, and product innovation, constantly refining strategies to drive client success. Solveig, who is fluent in English and Norwegian and conversational in French, brings a global perspective to her leadership roles. She is the CEO of Satisfai Health, a Vancouver-based start-up developing AI-powered medical devices for gastrointestinal conditions. Joining as the Chief Strategy Officer, within two months she took over as COO and is guiding the company from Series A to commercialization by developing the strategic plan, restructuring the organization, and maturing key technologies. As Senior Manager at Deloitte Digital, she drove customer strategy for key clients, which included government agencies, utilities, and transportation. As CEO of Educe Design & Innovation, she delivered over 40 projects locally and internationally for start-ups to Fortune 500 companies across health, life sciences, education, technology, aviation, business operations, and arts industries. Earlier in her career she served as VP of Design at Molecular You and held leadership roles with Roxar Emerson and Heli-One. She has received notable awards, including the Industrial Design Scholarship from the EJLB Foundation and the Ocean Construction Scholarship. She was selected for the International Design Camp at Design School Kolding in Denmark, which focused on design thinking for wicked problems. Solveig is an avid crossfitter and traveler. She spends her free time with her family and 2 Bernese Mountain dogs, and enjoys design projects including woodworking, welding, and making furniture.
