In supporting the CEO’s vision, I strive to outlearn, outwork, and outperform peers, as a key function of the business ecosystem, in leading cross-functionally in a highly interconnected environment.Working in both the public and private sectors with a longer-term goal of becoming an academic, I have redefined and redesigned the Chief Information Security Officer role to be a driver of operational excellence encouraging continued improvement while creating more agile environments. My leadership approach champions out-of-the-box thinking to inspire and motivate my team to develop novel solutions that will shape the company for the future.Trend Setter Established the State of Delaware’s first risk management and government team to assess, prioritize and drive the mitigation of risks against the state. Led the research, selection, procurement, and implementation utilizing best-in-class cybersecurity controls for Delaware across devices with more than users across multiple government and academic institutions branches while delivering an exceptional user experience. Responsible for securing 90 locations for a multinational manufacturing conglomerate, developing acomprehensive multi-year strategy, with direct reports in Asia, North America, Europe, and Latin America. At QVC, I designed and implemented multiple security policies, procedures, and processes to enhance andstandardize security protocols. I firmly believe in the power of education and continuous learning and am currently studying for my Ph.D in Cybersecurity Management at Nova Southeastern University, and plan to add to the body of knowledge in this discipline while grooming the next generation of cybersecurity professionals.
