Project lead for the EU-funded Einstein Project, focused on advanced computer vision solutions for combating identity fraud. Managed cross-functional research and technical coordination between academia and EU partners. Designed and implemented zero, one, and few-shot inference strategies using vision-language models for identity fraud detection. Developed latent diffusion models to generate high-quality morphing attack datasets for biometric evaluation. Contributed to the integration of CV pipelines in embedded identity verification systems.

ABOUT LAZARO JANIER GONZALEZ-SOLER

I’m a Senior Computer Vision Engineer with a PhD in Applied Computer Science and over a decade of experience building intelligent systems end-to-end — from research prototypes to production-grade AI platforms.Over the years, my focus has evolved from training state-of-the-art models to designing the systems that keep them reliable, observable, and scalable in real-world environments. I work at the intersection of advanced Computer Vision and ML infrastructure, ensuring that models are not only accurate, but deployable, monitorable, and safe to iterate on.I design inference architectures that support versioned deployments, progressive rollouts, automated rollback, and data drift monitoring. My goal is to reduce the gap between experimentation and production, enabling teams to ship models confidently while maintaining performance, stability, and transparency.Technically, I specialise in: • Computer Vision systems (detection, segmentation, biometric applications) • Production inference with NVIDIA Triton, ONNX, and TensorRT • Progressive deployment strategies (canary, shadow, automated ramping) • Observability with Prometheus and Grafana • Drift-aware monitoring and evaluation loopsI enjoy working on complex technical challenges where research meets engineering, and where thoughtful system design makes the difference between a working demo and a sustainable AI product.
