My name is Solomon Efetevbia and I am originally from Nigeria! I am a first-generation college graduate with a degree in Exercise Science! Some hobbies of mine are singing, dancing, and drawing as well. Ultimately, I am continuing to work hard in my studies towards becoming a wonderful medical provider!

   During my time at Akron Children\'s Hospital(ACH) I have made multiple conncetions with many departments in the following areas of the ACH; from the medical side to the non-medical side of things being from the Heart Center\'s providers, nurses and it\'s secretaries, the ER, OR, NICU, Volunteer Center, CT and MRI rooms/departments, and even the Cafeteria. I have experienced in-patient visitations, clinical follow-ups, pregnancy echocardiograms, adult, child, and fetal Ekg readings of patient visits, pacemaker exchanges, treadmill stress tests, and talking with experienced residency students speaking on patient conditions, medical school experiences and locations to attend for medical school, and attended a resident student meeting presentation for further future learning. Ultimately, I have been having a lot of fun studying and shadowing under the ACH and reviewing, learning, and expercering old and new experiences gained. As you continue this read please have fun reading my experiences as much as I did!Shadowing Pediatric Cardiologists, General Cardiologists, Electrical Physiologists, Ekg Techs, Registered Nurses(RN), Nurse Practitioners(NP), and Unit Secretaries.Taking notes for both Pediatric Cardiologists, and General Cardiologists when asked regarding patient information and interaction.Taking notes and learning each functional position within the Heart Center and how each position an individual works in all work together to make the Heart Center at ACH(Akron Children\'s Hospital) functional as a whole unit.Observations and discussions on clinical patient appointments, echocardiograms, and Ekgs.Observation of surgical operations.Tested on heart anatomy, function, and blood flow.Participate in Ekg reviews with providers and other professional staff.Attending end of week Ekg class review and discussion meeting.Having friendly patient interactions.Weekly self-studies in the Heart Center library and the ACH medical library.Assisted with donations.
