About Jonathan Hess
Jonathan Hess is a technical leader who has built world-class engineering teams and operated internet-scale infrastructure. He has spent the first 5 years of his career with his hands on the keyboard building software in Java, C++, Python, Ruby, and PHP. He spent the last 10 years building cross-functional teams that built valuable software. He has kept his hands on the keyboard building major pieces of Pinterest’s infrastructure as well as an array of other highly technical applications ranging from IoT to network security. Jonathan Hess currently leads the Performance program at Pinterest, an effort to improve the performance of Pinterest across mobile, web, network, server and AWS cloud platforms.
