WORK HISTORY
Journalist and Writer @Journaliste
I’m a Mother and an exiled Egyptian journalist, writer, and human rights defender, now living and working in exile in France.I spent nearly two years imprisoned in Egypt as a political prisoner because of my reporting and my belief in press freedom, women’s rights, and dignity for all. That experience marked me, but it did not break me. I still write. I still speak.Today, I run an independent media project that tells the stories of migrants, women, not as headlines, but as full lives navigating injustice, bureaucracy, and exile.I recently contributed as a co-author to a book published by Éditions Phanères in France, which explores the concept of subjectivity in prison, a contribution shaped by my own experience as a former political prisoner.I’m currently a Journalism Fellow at Toronto Metropolitan University in Canada, and will delve into migration and displacement\'s dimensions.I don’t speak from theory. I speak from experience of rebuilding, of resistance, and of believing that voice, even in exile, can still build meaning and change.
EDUCATION
Ain Shams University
Bachelor's degree
