Follow me on Twitter @Sohrab_Farid. At present, I am the director of consular affairs for Europe, Middle East and North Africa, as well as the head of the PS752 Task Force at Global Affairs Canada. Since joining the foreign service in 2004, I have represented Canadian interests and provided analysis on Egypt, Lebanon, Syria, Iraq, Jordan, Sudan, South Sudan, and Haiti while posted abroad. At headquarters I have assignments focussed on the European Union and, separately, international peacekeeping and working in the office of the deputy ministers. Prior to joining the foreign service, I worked as an IT manager for Procter & Gamble in Canada and Poland.
