ABOUT SOHAN JAPA
I\'m a practicing physician passionate about using technology to improve healthcare. My background includes an engineering degree with a focus on product design from Stanford, as well as time at IDEO, where I honed my skills in creative problem-solving. I’ve founded two healthcare startups in the digital health space (one of which taped for Season 7 of Shark Tank!). Most recently, I founded the Hospital in Home program at VA San Diego, which brings acute, ward-level care directly into patients\' homes. This allowed me to act as an intrapreneur within the VA system, driving forward a new care model that is reshaping the future of healthcare beyond traditional hospital walls. As a board-certified physician in internal medicine, I continue to practice clinically and see patients which serves as my North Star.
