About Soham Bhandare
I am an undergraduate student pursuing a BS in Chemical Sciences at IIT Mandi, with a minor in Computer Science & Engineering, and a strong interest in research and interdisciplinary problem-solving. I am particularly inclined toward exploring how computational tools, data-driven methods, and core chemical principles can be combined to address complex scientific problems.Over the course of my academic journey, I have actively engaged beyond coursework — working on data science and machine learning programs, mentoring students through Guidance & Counselling Cell (GCS) and Physics Wallah in academic and non-academic capacities, and taking up leadership roles. I currently serve as one of the Heads of the Robotronics Club, where I lead the design vertical, managing visual communication, branding, and design execution for club activities and events.I enjoy discussions around academics, research directions, and long-term career planning, and regularly interact with faculty members, MS and PhD students to gain deeper insight into research pathways. I am highly motivated to pursue a PhD (preferably in the USA) after completing my undergraduate degree and am keen on building a strong research-oriented profile during my bachelor’s.I am always open to learning, collaboration, and meaningful academic conversations related to chemistry, computation, research, and higher studies.
