About Soham Parmar

I am an enthusiastic advocate for the digitalization of our world, and an even stronger advocate for the widespread understanding of the digital devices running our world. Since youth, it has always been my goal to pursue something STEM-related, especially in relation to technology and software. I am 19 and currently attend Post-Secondary at the University of Waterloo. I am currently a candidate for a Bachelor\'s in Applied Science with a major in Computer Engineering. My passions range from a wide variety of interests, but most significantly focus on ideas in science, engineering and business. My strengths in Computer Engineering are primarily software related and pertain to Web Development. I have been following Worldwide technological developments and whatever seems \"cool\" in the digital space since middle school. My early days were spent primarily on YouTube and Stack Overflow, trying to figure out how to make iPhone games on Unity3D. I learned a lot about programming and data structures by simply throwing myself at whatever small game idea seemed cool. Moving on from there, I found myself enjoying this newfound field, and started looking into different kinds of ways to leverage my new skills. I essentially tried to learn any language I could find on the internet, and came out with skills in Python, Java, JavaScript, Swift, C++, and more.
