About Soham Jiddewar
Hello, I am Soham Jiddewar, a senior undergraduate student at IIT Hyderabad specializing in Artificial Intelligence. My journey combines hands-on industry research, placement management, and student leadership, where I have consistently taken ownership of large-scale responsibilities and delivered impactful results. Currently, I am an Applied AI Research Intern at Thomson Reuters, where I work on cutting-edge projects in Natural Language Processing (NLP) and Large Language Models (LLMs). This role has strengthened my technical expertise while giving me exposure to solving real-world business challenges using AI. Alongside research, I serve as the Internship Manager at the Office of Career Services, IIT Hyderabad, where I manage a team of 95 coordinators and oversee the internship placement process for 500+ students. In this capacity, I engage with multiple companies, drive internship season strategy, and ensure smooth execution of recruiter-student interactions. I have successfully converted and managed relationships with over 10+ companies, ensuring opportunities for students across different domains. In my second year, I was part of the Finance & Consulting Club (FCC) as the Hospitality & Logistics Lead, where I co-organized Horizon, FCC’s flagship event, managing end-to-end logistics, hospitality, and event execution. I also contributed to other flagship initiatives of the club, strengthening my organizational and people-management skills. Beyond academics and professional roles, I have been deeply involved in student life at IIT Hyderabad: Sunshine (UG Buddy Program): Mentored incoming freshmen, supporting their academic transition and personal well-being. Tinkerers’ Lab (Operations Core): Helped manage a thriving makerspace that supports 50+ projects annually. Cultural & Technical Events: Volunteered for Elan & Vision, FCC events, and Tinkerer Labs workshops, gaining hands-on experience in logistics, event management, and team coordination.
